Canada Tai Chi Academy hosted its annual Spring Dinner on Mar 7, 2010.
The dinner began after Master Gu's toast.

In the three-hour show,senior instruction, Mr Lam Wei Chung, was the Master of Ceremony for the party. Karoake was a popular activity among many students, including senior instruction,Mr. Ryan Leung. More than forty prizes were distributed during the lucky draw, which created a great vibe and atmosphere. The dinner was a success, in which a total of eighty students attended. The group photos were taken at the end of the party.

The annual Tai Chi Seminar was held on November 1st, 2009. Master Gu gave a speech on the development and formation of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan, the brief history on Master Song Shu-Ming and his renowed classical theory of Tai Chi Chuan, and the relationship between Master Song and Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan. Master Gu also demonstrated the round form, small form, and fast form of Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan during the seminar.

The course, "Song Shu Ming's Tai Chi 37 Forms Sparring", is currently being offered every Monday night. All students are welcomed to attend. Please contact Master Gu at 604 512 9678 for more details.

The academy hosted its annual Summer Seminar & Master Gu's Birthday Dinner on July 24th, 2009. More than 70 students attended this event. Master Gu began the seminar by “How to Improve Tai Chi Chuan” at 5pm, focusing on the need to observe, contemplate, question, and practice.

Mr. Lam Wei Chung, who donated twenty prizes for the lucky draw, and Mr. Paul Lam were the Masters of Ceremony for the party. Karaoke was a popular activity among many students, including Mr. Ryan Leung. That night, students prepared a birthday present and cake for Master Gu, who in return, presented a Tai Chi Chuan poster to every student. The atmosphere was warm, and students talked with one another, and took photos in
commemoration of the dinner.

The institute will introdce three new Tai Chi courses this April. The
techniques in these courses were only taught to in-house students only in the past and never have been open to the public. This is the first time Master Gu will teach these methods to his students.

- Free practice class is open on every Sunday morning 10:00am ~ 11:00 am , The academy welcomes every students to practice and exchange knowledge among one another. The content includes: Slow Form, Fast Form, Sword and Push Hands.

- Master Gu, along with other senior students, has lunch meeting every Saturday and Sunday afternoon (1:00 – 2:30 p.m.). If any student has questions regarding Tai Chi Chuan, its theory, its literary reference, and its history. All students are welcome to participate. Participants must RSVP to Master Gu at 604 781-3067 to attend the lunch meetings.
